Over decades, three of the most respected relational and ministry networks in the country have built something remarkable: real trust, real reach, and years of investment in the people under their care. The National Prayer Breakfast Secretariat, the AYLF community of young professionals, and the Dove Fellowship, which oversees roughly two hundred churches, have invested heavily in their community and in their leaders.
In different ways and through different conversations this year, leaders across all three of these networks have named the same thing to us. They believe partnering with Avanti to bring our process into their communities would be catalytic.
We think they're right, and this is exactly the kind of door we exist to walk through… This is why Avanti has worked so hard to turn the teachings and principles from GDI and beyond into shareable, coachable material.
WHY IT MATTERS
What we're asking you to help fund is focused and specific: six months to bring a founding cohort of twelve leaders, four from each network, through a Life on Purpose catalyst group.
This is our core process for discovering identity, stewarding relationships, and pursuing the purpose someone was created for, and to train every one of them as a facilitator who can lead that same process for their own people.
Life on Purpose itself costs nothing already. The book, the workbook, and the whole framework are free to anyone who wants them. The part that costs something is the facilitated experience that actually walks a person through it well, and the training that turns a participant into someone who can lead others through it too. That's what this gift funds. Once a leader is trained, the door behind them stays wide open: they can bring this to their own church, their own family, their own friend circle, at no cost to the people they're leading, because the material itself was never the expensive part.
Light doesn't mean shallow. This is the product of years spent distilling a much larger body of work down to its most essential, most practical core: the specific handles that move someone from disoriented to grounded in who they are, how they relate, and where they're headed. It's meant to be a real beginning, a fast and accessible one, with a lifetime of further growth available to anyone who wants to keep going.
Meet the organizations that are ready to send their leaders to the Life On Purpose Catalyst Coaching Group
Fred Ndavi grew up in a small village in Kenya, where a full education went only to the handful of kids who scored high enough and had families who could pay for it. He happened to be one of them. He got all the way through, made it to Dallas Baptist University in the U.S., and spent the years after wrestling with a question that a lot of scholarship kids never say out loud: why him, and not the kids sitting next to him who wanted it just as badly.
In 2013 he turned that question into an organization. Inspire Spaces is run by Kenyans who grew up inside the same school system they're now working to change, which means the scholarships, the mentorship, the rebuilt classrooms, all of it comes from people who have actual skin in the game rather than an outside foundation parachuting in. 270 scholarships awarded so far, and counting. Every year, a group of their university students climbs Kilimanjaro together, leadership training and fundraiser rolled into one seven-day push to 19,340 feet.
Fred is our connection into this world, and a handful of his key leaders will be going through the Catalyst Group themselves, walking the same process he's spent over a decade building for others, then coming out the other side trained to facilitate it inside Inspire Spaces going forward. Along the way, they'll be building real relationships with leaders from the other organizations doing this alongside them, which is very much the point.
Inspire Spaces
Gabriel Achayo trained as a mechanical engineer, then became a certified leadership and life coach, and at some point decided that the more urgent shortage in Kenya wasn't talent. It was trusted people willing to walk alongside young leaders while they figured out who they actually wanted to become. He's led AYLF's Kenya chapter for years now as Country Coordinator, part of a movement that's spread from Kenya into more than 25 African countries since its founding in 2007, though it's never really described itself as an NGO so much as a movement of friends, gathered around a shared conviction that Africa's leadership culture needs formation as much as it needs opportunity.
In Kenya alone, AYLF reaches into more than 120 universities and has built an active network of roughly 2,000 young professionals, running mentorship circles and a flagship Student Leadership Development Program now on its tenth cohort. Their own estimate of the ripple effect is striking: something like half of all Kenyan university students touched indirectly, and tens of millions of Kenyans beyond that. All of it aimed at one goal, stated plainly on their own site: a transformed leadership culture in Africa.

DOVE Africa (Dove Fellowship)
AYLF (Africa Youth Leadership Forum) — Kenya
Ibrahim and Diane Omondi started with a single weekly fellowship meeting in their own home in Nairobi, back in 1988, several years into a ministry partnership they'd already been building together in Kenya. That fellowship multiplied into a church, then into church planters being sent out into new territory, and today DOVE Africa is a network of more than 300 churches across seven nations, still anchored in the same three pillars it started with: prayer, evangelism, and discipleship.
Doug and Charlene have known Ibrahim and Diane since their college days, which means this isn't a partnership we found through a strategy session or a cold introduction. It's a friendship that's been running in parallel with ours for decades, one where the same conviction driving Life on Purpose, that real transformation happens in small groups of people who actually know each other, was already the operating logic of DOVE Africa's churches long before either of us put words to it.
Beyond church planting, the Omondis lead DOVE Missions Africa, supporting Kenyan and Ugandan missionaries among unreached people groups, and direct Springs of Africa, a microfinance and education initiative aimed at the same kind of lasting community change Avanti is after.

A gift of $1,200 funds one leader's complete six months: their own process, and their training to lead it for others. Give a single gift, or commit to $200 a month for six months, whatever fits your life best. We're looking for a group of people who believe in this outcome enough to help us raise the full $14,400 it will take to get all twelve leaders through the program.
If this works the way we believe it will, it doesn't stop there. This is the kind of thing that tips a boulder downhill: once it's moving, these twelve leaders could go on to lead it for as many groups as they have capacity for, in their own timing, and we're already imagining what it could look like to eventually gather everyone together in Kenya to celebrate what's taken root. None of that is what we're asking you to fund today. It's the horizon this six months opens up.
Money given as aid usually disappears the moment it's spent. This is different. It's an investment in people who will go on discipling their own communities, their own young people, and their own families for years, and likely for generations, after the gift itself is long spent. We believe that's worth funding, and we'd love for you to be part of it.
